| Job Description |
: Our client in Boulder CO, is looking for a Software Hardware Tester for a 6-9 month contract.
IMMEDIATE CONTRACT OPENING – April 2008
Anticipated Duration – 6 to 9 Months
EMBEDDED C/C++ SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Telecom – Test – Hardware Diagnostics
Design – Implementation – Testing
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Software Development Effort:
• Develop a Hardware Diagnostic Application (HDA) that:
• runs on proprietary custom embedded hardware
• runs in a production manufacturing environment
• Derive HDA in part from an existing DVT Test Application
• Create software design documents, commented code
• Participate in specification, design, and code reviews
• Thoroughly test the HDA in the laboratory
• Support HDA design verification testing
• Support integration of HDA into manufacturing process
• Create HDA user documentation to support test technician
Assist Project Manager with:
• Project schedules and milestones
• Identifying risks, bottlenecks, and problems
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
• BSEE or B.S. in Computer Science or related field preferred
Experience:
• 3+ years experience with embedded C or C++ (required)
• Linux or Unix experience (required)
• Hardware test application development experience (required)
• RTOS experience (required)
• Familiarity with LabView (a plus)
Skills & Attributes:
• Ability to work effectively in a small onsite team of engineers
• Ability to react quickly and adapt to changes in priorities, circumstances and direction
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and partners
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, including proficiency in written and verbal communications, and strong listening skills
