: Position: Senior Principal Consultant
Location: NY, NJ
Position:
Answering directly to the Vice President of Solutions Delivery, the Senior Principal Consultant will work closely with customers, partners and Siperian staff to deploy best-of-class Siperian solutions. This position requires a highly skilled senior level consultant Java, J2ee Weblogic, Data Warehouse, PL/SQL experience. The successful candidate will work in a wide variety of pre-sales and post-sales activities, including pre-sales due diligence, post-sales customer deployments and third-level customer support.
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical depth concerning Our clients solutions in discussions ranging from C-Level executives to implementers.
• Set and manage realistic customer expectations during the sales and implementation process
• Prepare proposals and statements of work that reflect both thought leadership and domain expertise, but are tempered by practical experience and set appropriate customer expectations.
• Deliver high quality solutions in adherence to Siperian methodology.
• Drawing on domain expertise and practical experience, provide improvements to the Siperian Implementation Methodology
• Provide technical leadership to Siperian staff both inside and outside of Solutions Delivery.
• Maintain technical expertise
• As required, develop complex database schemas, stored procedures, interfaces (in Java or XML), and extensions to customer proprietary systems..
• Provide Performance Tuning and optimization for individual customer implementations.
• Provision data backup, management and maintenance policies and procedures.
• Provide backup Systems Administration.
Requirements/Qualifications:
• 10+ years programming/analysis/design/administration
• 3+ years technical leadership
• 3+ years of SQL and PL/SQL
• 3+ years of UNIX shell script programming
• 3+ years in a J2EE environment
• Thorough understanding of data modeling, physical schema properties, triggers, stored procedures, and database backup, restore and recovery processes.
• Ability to automate administration tasks, perform capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning and administer security.
• Strong optimization skills, especially with high volume databases (>300GB) and large, distributed J2EE applications..
• Administration on Solaris/HP/Windows Server (recovery skills important)
• General understanding of data-warehousing/OLAP and ERP packages (SAP, Oracle, Siebel and Peoplesoft)
• 2+ years experience writing complex stored procedures for one or more of SQL Server 2000, Oracle8i+ or DB2/UDB.
• Preferred 2+ years experience as a DBA with SQL Server 2000, DB2/UDB or Oracle.
• Administration on Solaris/HP/Windows Server (recovery skills important)
• Good understanding of data-warehousing/OLAP and ERP packages (SAP, Oracle, Siebel and Peoplesoft)
• 5+ years experience writing complex stored procedures for one or more of SQL Server 2000, Oracle8i+ or DB2/UDB.
• Experience using Object Oriented Methodologies, Java, Visual Basic, C/C++, JDBC and ODBC will be a significant plus.
• Significant O/S experience in Windows Server, UNIX and Linux platforms.
• Ability to "think big" and grasp the overall picture.
• Must be able to problem solve outside your areas of expertise.
