- Articulate and demonstrate BEA Business Interaction Division (BID) solutions, influence customer's technical requirements, and position solutions relative to competition.
- The candidate will accompany Sales team members on various prospect meetings to supply full technical support and knowledge regarding the product in question.
- The candidate will work with the Sales teams to support sales of Portal, BPM and additional products that will be added to the solution.
- Additionally, the candidate will identify any technical gaps that the customer may display during Sales meetings and offer technical solutions that map to customer business pain
- Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key senior technical influencers of the accounts.
- Identify and respond to all functional and technical issues that are required to close the sale.
- Gather information and tailor product demonstrations to meet their requirements.
- Assist with required proposal writing (RFI, RFP) requirements.
- Keep current on new product features, technical architectures, directions etc.
- Provide feedback to product management on competition and future product enhancements.
- Assist with product training for sales and partners.
- Maintenance of regional equipment/center, if applicable.
- Will be required to perform other sales related activities as requested, directed or assigned.
- Operating System experience with Unix (Solaris, HPUX or AIX preferred), Windows 2003 and/or Linux.
- Familiarity of J2EE and .NET technologies along with background in enterprise applications including content management, portals, and business process management.
- Design/development experience with HTML, XML, JSP, ASP, JavaScript and other web-related tools and technologies.
- Competency developing web services and server components and a familiarity with associated technologies such as XML and SOAP.
- Experience with Web servers and applications servers (Tomcat, BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere, IIS, Apache).
- Knowledge of RDBMS systems, specifically Oracle and MS SQL Server.
- Understanding of the BEA Business Interaction Division (BID) products and how they jointly contribute to solutions.
- General understanding of BEA WebLogic products as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in enterprise software sales support, consulting or development.
- Superior public speaking, presentation, oral and written communication skills to either a technical and business function audience at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in developing solutions which are based on solving business problems.
- Sales skills including the ability to overcome objections, persuade and convince others, think and react 'quickly - on your feet'.
- Ability to multi-task, be flexible and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Proven ability to work well in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment and take ownership for all assigned responsibilities, deliverables and results.
- Ability to travel, sometimes at a moments notice.
